Mc Beer Wedding 2019

Until we say, "I do!"

Just to go!

Meet Cute

Kim and David first met on a cold winter’s evening 5 years ago. David was watching rugby, he had a beard and a lot of hair. Kim couldn’t have cared about the rugby, but she did approve of his rather fetching beard.

Upon meeting David Kim’s first words to him were, “Ooh beard! Hi, I’m Kim.”

For David the rest of the evening past in a blur of attempts to impress the pretty girl with the amazing laugh. Kim spent the evening being amused watching David attempt to avoid the random dog lady (Her dogs are apparently wonderful…) and her advances.

The evening flew by, a silly boy (not David) lost the sole of his shoe to the fire after repeated warnings that fire melts rubber. Kim laughed at said boy, David mentally high fived himself for having given the warning.

At the stroke of midnight and before turning into pumpkins they headed to their separate homes. Whereupon David immediately stalked through facebook to find Kim. Luckily for David, whose stalking abilities were not great, having mutual friends made it easy and so the pursuit began, along with David’s running career.

Kim who was heading off for an extended trip to Thailand in the near future tried to keep David in the friend zone. David subtly headed that one off by telling her that he liked her… before the second date, and then convincing her that they should just go for another cup of coffee.

There were a few touch and go moments. Like David shaving off all of his hair and removing the only reason Kim spoke to him, his beard, immediately following their first date. And Kim telling David that she ran the two oceans half marathon and that from now on he would be doing it with her… for the rest of their lives (If it didn’t involve more running this one alone might have made David run away).

A trip to Thailand, a few two oceans, a luscious beard now speckled with grey, and a year or two later they bought a flat together. A real fixer upper. One of the most common things said to each of them, was that if their relationship could survive renovations it could survive anything… just in case they have delayed finishing their flat. That’s the real reason they haven’t yet finished (at the time of writing this), nothing else you hear is true, promise. Please come and join them as they make it official.

FAQ

Yes, they are a welcome. But please do let us know so that we can organise catering.
The wedding cermony starts at 16:00 we suggest arriving at least 15 to 30 minutes before the ceremony. Kim likes to be punctual, if you don't see her walk down the isle expect a tequila shot at the bar.
In the allocated parking spaces... if you park in the flower bed there will be no drinks for you!
Clothes preferably... smart casual is good.
There is some uneven terrain, but so long as you take that into account what ever goes with your outfit is fine.
Before the day call David (072-084-5534) or Kim (083-727-5643), on the day call Lucinda (072-476-9035)
